“Developing a Healthy
Male/Female Spirituality and Relationship”
(can include
a swing dance lesson)
After witnessing firsthand the degrading behavior of
“grind dancing” at their son’s high school prom,
Elizabeth & Mark began a ministry of teaching swing
dance to high school and college youth, incorporating
into it the message of respectful intimacy. This has
evolved into a full-length presentation given at youth
gatherings that begins with a definition of spirituality
and explains the importance of it in achieving a healthy
male/female relationship. It discusses messages the
modern culture tells people and the traps young men and
women can fall into as a result. Elizabeth and Mark
share spiritual tips that help keep their relationship
healthy and respectful. The talk concludes with a brief
discussion of saints that are ideal role models for
teens and young adults.
A swing dance lesson can be added to this presentation.
In the lesson, the following points are discussed: the
importance of being a strong lead, what it means to
follow, good communication, and respectful touch.

“Nurturing Our Catholic
Marriage”
This presentation looks at the crisis in marriage today
and how far we’ve come from God’s original design. It
discusses marriage as a sacrament and the graces this
affords to the married couple. Elizabeth and Mark share
several ways they have found to nurture their own
Catholic marriage of more than twenty-five years,
including Mass, Confession, Prayer, Eucharistic
Adoration, and spiritual reading. The topic of spiritual
warfare is also discussed and the importance of being on
guard for that. As a long-time presenting couple for
Marriage Encounter, Elizabeth and Mark share the
benefits of this movement in strengthening and nurturing
Catholic marriages today.

“Modeling a Good Marriage for our Children”
This presentation talks about God as the author of
marriage, as evidenced in the Old and New Testaments. It
looks at marriage as a sacrament and what that means to
the couple. It offers practical advice on modeling a
good marriage for young children and young adults, by
approaching the issues of cohabitation, contraception,
individualism, forgiveness and reconciliation. Various
ways to nurture the marriage are also discussed. The
talk concludes with a discussion of the family as a
Domestic Church.

“Natural Family Planning:
Green, Clean, and Virtually Free!”
Elizabeth and Mark have
the unique perspective of incorporating Natural Family
Planning (NFP) into their married life for over
twenty-five years. This presentation is not a “how-to”
course. Rather, it begins with a brief theology of NFP
and how it differs from contraception. It looks at the
big lies of contraception and how generations of women
have been misled. Most importantly, it looks at the
amazing advantages of NFP: 100% safety, 99%
effectiveness, and happier marriages! This presentation
can be given to adults, teens, or both.
